Baby Basics of Collier, Inc. is holding this community event to raise funds in order to open its 7th Distribution Site within the YMCA of the Palms in Naples and to supply diapers to least 50 additional low income working families in Collier County and Bonita Springs who do not receive any federal or state cash assistance. Currently, Baby Basics of Collier, Inc. provides diapers to 239 babies, ranging in age from newborn to three years. Mrs. Jean Ann Lynch is the Founder/President of the organization, a non-profit, 100 percent volunteer organization, set up under Section 501(c) 3 of the IRS Code. During 2010, Baby Basics of Collier, Inc. expects to deliver its ONE MILLIONTH DIAPER in this area.

The Baby Basics Concept was conceived by Mrs. Lynch who carried her idea forward by establishing 13 Baby Basics Affiliate Organizations since 1990, including the Naples, Florida organization, set up in March of 2005.  Baby Basics Organizations are now operating in seven states under the umbrella organization: Baby Basics National Development Corporation (BBNDC). Mrs. Lynch’s husband, Dick Lynch a retired IBM executive, serves as the President of BBNDC. Each Affiliate is incorporated in the State in which it operates and with its own, independent board of directors. However, each unit must adhere to uniform policies and a licensing arrangement with BBNDC.
